Character Counts

The Manner for the week of Nov. 19-21:  “Use ‘please’, ‘thank you’, and ‘excuse me’ frequently.”

Through a grant acquired by our Healthy Communities Coalition, many teachers, K-12, received training in Character Counts.  Character Counts is a national grassroots initiative based on voluntary citizen action. It is based on a shared belief and consensus values called the “Six Pillars of Character”.  These six pillars are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Citizenship, and Caring. The community of Glendive will be featuring one of these pillars each month through out the school year. These pillars are matched with the Manners of the Week”.
